Senior Creative Designer (full time)
K TWO Products

K TWO Products is an award-winning Edinburgh-based company that specializes in the design of planners and organisers. We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Senior Designer to join our team and help lead the creative development of the K TWO Product range and associated marketing material. Our products supply the UK gift stationery market, which includes well-known high street retailers as well as mail order and independent retailers. We also have a growing export market and sell directly to the consumer via our web site.
K TWO is looking for a creative ‘visionary’ with excellent commercial awareness and branding experience to lead and inspire a small in-house design team. The right candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of design experience at a senior level and have proven project management skills.
Responsibilities:
Design – Product range and marketing material
• Bringing visual innovation and lateral thinking to the design team.
• Creating multiple concepts to choose from, for individual products and ranges (both new products and refreshing existing products)
• Creating a variety of visual ideas for marketing material (catalogues, mailers, advertising, merchandising)
Experience
• Commercial awareness
• Proven track record in creating highly creative visual concepts
• Proven skill in working with illustration and illustrators
• Evidence of capability to convert creative concepts into commercial reality
• Design agency background preferred
• Bachelors degree in graphic design preferred
• Essential Computer Skills: Adobe Creative Suite (CS4 or 5) — InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop.
Salary £28,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience

Graduate Level Graphic Designer
Second Nature Ltd. is an independent greeting card company that is renowned for its innovative and market-leading hand finished products.
We are currently seeking a Graduate level Graphic Designer to work closely with our Creative Director.
Working alone and as part of a team, the successful applicant will use specialised industry standard graphics and multimedia software packages to design a broad spectrum of greeting card and related products for the craft and scrapbook market.
Particular duties and responsibilities will include the following:
· assist with management of design projects from conception to completion;
· work on a range of briefs for a broad client base;
· design and create material for the company;
· work with CAD, Quark Express, Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Director, Dream weaver and Flash; and
· assist with presentations to prospective clients.
The following attributes would be advantageous:
· several years relevant industry-based work experience in graphic design.
